Natalie, Matt, & Caden

Natalie and Matt’s wedding was inspiring in a refreshing way.

Natalie had this genius idea to do their first look in the middle of the street in New Orleans.

Making drivers mad as they kissed in the street after seeing each other for the first time was just one of the many things that happened that day that I quickly learned were so completely Natalie and Matt.

The flowers for the wedding were left in a taxi cab, the license hadn’t been thought about the day before the wedding, and everything took place just a little behind schedule…

all of which was announced during the ceremony by the officiant to all of their guests.

And the reaction?

Complete and utter laughter, bliss, and nods of “yep, that’s about right.”

I’m learning very quickly in this business that the most beautiful relationships, the most beautiful experiences, the most beautiful weddings are the ones where the couple in the end couldn’t care less what goes wrong. They know this day is about so much more.

Natalie and Matt wanted their wedding to be a reunion of all their friends and family who came literally from all over.

More than that they wanted it to be very clear to Natalie’s son, Caden, that this is about the three of them becoming a family.

And they did it so well.

To Natalie, Matt, and Caden…It has meant so much to me to be a part of your coming together. I wish you the very best and many many years of that same careless bliss together.

I think we could all learn a little something from each of you:)

Thanks for stopping by,

Claire
